Lowered in the likeness of His death...and raised in the likeness of His resurrection!

On Sunday, one of the gals that I have the privilege of discipling was baptized!

I felt like a proud mama, sitting up front, with my camera ready...taking shots every few seconds :) Her mom and two of her sisters came and I was able to meet them for the first time.  Proud would be an understatement for them as well...and their relationship was fairly non-existant prior to her getting saved.  God has brought redemption to so many areas in her life!

Her testimony, that she read to the congregation:

"Before I met Jesus, I was miserable.  I was completely depressed and most of my relationships were broken.  I had given up on school and most other things.  About a  year ago, I started hanging out with some people who loved Jesus.  They were so nice to me and I wanted the joy that they had.  Then this Fall, when I had hit rock bottom, I was asking questions about God and knew I wanted to accept Him as my Savior.  I prayed and my life has not been the same since!  I now am filled with joy and peace and God has restored relationships with my mom and others.  I got back on track with school and am telling others about Jesus.  He has made me a worshipper and a dancer over darkness!"

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.  For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.  In love, he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure  and will--to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.  In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.  (Eph 1:3-8)
